Video surveillance camera installation and design – from a private home's grounds to a complete surveillance system for an office or factory.
Video surveillance system installation starts with assessing the site – understanding which areas need coverage, what lighting is available, and whether remote access is needed. We design the camera layout to cover the most important areas – entrances, property boundaries, parking areas or office corridors –, run the necessary cabling and electrical connections, install the cameras and recording equipment, and configure remote access via a mobile app. We offer this service to private homes and apartments as well as offices, warehouses and other commercial sites, and we provide system maintenance after installation.
A video surveillance system's effectiveness depends not only on the number of cameras but also on their placement – a poorly chosen camera position can leave exactly the areas that matter most to you unmonitored. That's why, before installation, we walk through the site together and identify priority areas: entrances, access roads, and the most valuable rooms. The result is a system that genuinely covers what matters, rather than a random arrangement of cameras.
Camera layout plan before installation
Written proposal before work begins
Remote access tested before handover
We determine optimal camera positions to cover the most important areas without unnecessary "blind spots."
We install the cameras, cabling and a recording device with sufficient storage capacity.
We configure mobile app access to live footage and recordings from anywhere.
Solutions for a private home's grounds as well as a full surveillance system for an office or factory.
The number of cameras is often overestimated or underestimated when determined without a site survey. A small private home typically needs 2–4 cameras covering the main entrance, driveway and the area behind the house. An apartment or small office is often fine with 1–2 cameras at the main entrances. Larger commercial sites – warehouses, factories, office complexes – can require dozens of cameras, and it's important to plan not just the number of cameras but also the overlap in coverage between neighboring cameras, so no blind spots are left.
During the consultation, we walk through your site and identify priority areas, rather than offering standard packages regardless of the situation. If you'd like to estimate the approximate camera count yourself before contacting us, see our video surveillance camera count worksheet.
Nowadays, most new installations use IP cameras, which transmit video over a network cable or Wi-Fi and allow more convenient remote access via a mobile app, higher image resolution, and easier system expansion in the future. Analog cameras are still relevant in some cases – for example, when expanding an already existing analog system, or when the budget is especially tight and image quality isn't the top priority. During the consultation we'll recommend a solution suited to your specific situation. See a detailed comparison in our IP vs analog camera comparison.
When planning camera placement, it's important to consider not only where visibility is best, but also that the surveillance doesn't cover a neighbor's property or public space without justification. This is both a courtesy issue and a data protection matter. During installation we advise on camera angle and coverage area so the system achieves its purpose without raising unnecessary concerns about neighbors' privacy.
